Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Society (MUS) is proud to announce the 3rd MUS-UCAM India course, 2020 to be held at the SEVEN HILLS Hospital, Mumbai in June and Dec 2020.
MUS- UCAM is a prestigious,much-coveted International Post Graduate University Diploma in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and MUS has been collaborating with the University of Murcia, Spain to consistently bring this course to India, every 2 years since 2016.
The MUS-UCAM course is a unique and scientifically structured course aimed at empowering the students with the basic skills, expertise and confidence needed to practise MSK Ultrasound in day to day clinical practice. Renowned International faculty along with the very best National Faculty takes the students through two separate modules of rigorous learning and academics par excellence. A Didactic method of teaching is followed as students are first provided with the adequate amount of theoretical knowledge regarding normal anatomy and standardized protocols of scanning through a series of lectures and live demonstrations of the same.
With a very limited number of seats, the course lays emphasis on a one to one interaction between teachers and students, which is especially evident in the practical hands-on workshops. The faculty literally handholds and guides every student personally to ensure that they learn the correct way of scanning and identifying structures with confidence. The workshops are well equipped with an adequate number of High-end Ultrasound machines with high-frequency probes and normal healthy volunteers so that the students get ample time to practice and improve their skills until they are satisfied.
Mention must be made of the fact that apart from the University of Murcia, this degree is accredited by the Royal College of Radiology (RCR) and endorsed in 2016 by ESSR as well.
The MUS-UCAM course in India is not only a perfect blend of serious gruelling academics but also sprinkled with lighter moments of humour and bonhomie amidst the faculty and students ending with a formal convocation ceremony. It was a dream come true for the graduates of the UCAM 2018 batch to have an overseas convocation of this prestigious international degree, at UCAM, Murica, Spain.
MSK Ultrasound is an upcoming, new subspecialty that is making its presence felt like an important imaging modality in both diagnosis and intervention. This course is a step in the right direction and an opportunity not be missed.
