Punjab Civil Medical Services Association Announcement
The Punjab Civil Medical Services Association (PCMSA) has announced an indefinite suspension of services at all public healthcare facilities starting September 9. The decision comes in response to unresolved demands, including:
- Assured career progressions
- Pending arrears from the 6th Central Pay Commission (CPC)
- Other demands
According to the UNI report, President of PCMSA, Dr. Akhil Sarin, stated that the association has expressed optimism over the government's decision to recruit 400 regular PCMS medical officers (MOs) after a gap of four years. However, it has urged the government to ensure annual recruitment drives to replace the annual attrition.
