On First Day Of Work, 18-Year-Old Nurse Found Hanging In UP Private Hospital, Family Alleges Gang Rape-Murder

Unnao: The body of an 18-year-old nurse was found hanging on the premises of a private hospital in the Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning, informed police.
The family of the victim alleged that the woman was gang-raped before she was killed by the accused person. The FIR has been registered against three people on the basis of the complaint of the victim's mother.
The hospital was opened recently on April 25, the woman had joined work at the hospital on April 29 for which she had rented a room in the nearby area.
Her family members said the woman had returned to her room since there was no patient in the hospital during the day. But, the hospital owner allegedly called her at around 10 pm and asked her to do night duty.

According to the family members, she had joined the said hospital just a day before the incident.
At 11 am on Saturday, some visitors spotted her body hanging by a rope from a bar protruding from a pillar on the roof of the building. When the body was recovered there was a mask on her face and she was clutching a piece of cloth in her hand, additional superintendent of police Shashi Shekhar Singh said, said the report.
"We are trying to find out who put a mask on her face and also details about the cloth," Singh said, adding that the hospital has been sealed and police are waiting for the autopsy report, according to the HT report.
"A woman's body has been found at New Jeevan Hospital. To ascertain the circumstances of death, a post-mortem has been ordered. The family has alleged that the woman was raped and then killed. An FIR against three people has been filed and strict action will be taken against them," said Shashi Shekhar Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police, Unnao.
Her body has been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death. An investigation into the matter has been started. More details are awaited.
