Mop Up Round For NEET PG Scheduled For 26th November 2022, Announces BOPEE

Jammu & Kashmir: The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) announced the schedule for the mop-up round for admission to MD/MS/PG diploma courses-2022 along with HM & NRI Quota seats in ASCOMS Jammu. The seat matrix has also been released.

As per the notice, the Board shall conduct the mop-up round for these courses as per the following schedule for filling up unfilled seats and the seats that remained vacant due to non-joining and resignation of candidates and were received as a shortfall from various Medical Colleges/ Institutions.
The eligible and willing candidates have to report to the BOPEE office in Jammu / Srinagar for registration and fulfilment of all formalities from 8:30 am to 10:00 am on the day and date of counselling.
Eligibility for mop-up round –
1. The candidates who have not been allotted any seat during the 1st/ 2nd round of counselling shall be eligible to participate in the mop-up round in terms of conditions contained in the Information Brochure.
2. The candidates who have been allotted a seat during 1st round of counselling and have joined the college but have not been upgraded during the 2nd round owing to less merit are allowed to participate in the mop-up round.
3. Those candidates who have been allotted a seat during the 2nd round of counselling, joined the college/institution and want to participate in the mop-up round for up-gradation are also eligible to participate in the mop-up round.
4. Further, any candidate who has been allotted a seat during the First round of counselling but has not joined against the allotted seat/college shall also be eligible for a mop-up round.
Non-eligibility for mop-up round -
1. Any candidate upgraded during the 2nd round of counselling shall under no circumstances be eligible to participate in the mop-up round.
2. The candidates who have been allotted seats in the AIQ mop-up-round and have joined the allotted College/Institution shall not be eligible to participate in this mop-up-round.
The candidates who will be allotted seats during the mop-up round shall have to necessarily join the College / Institution up to the last date of joining as fixed by Board and shall not be allowed to resign. However, such candidates, who do not join the allotted college up to the prescribed date or resign subsequently, will attract penal provisions of SRO 48 of 2018 dated 30-01-2018 and shall be debarred for 3/2 years as laid down in the said SRO as also reiterated by the Board from time to time.
The candidates should, therefore, take a conscious decision about participation in the mop-up round for allotment of a seat.
The Board shall first conduct the counselling of reserved category candidates. Suppose any reserved category seat(s) remain unfilled due to the non-availability of eligible candidates. In that case, those seats shall be converted into OM and filled accordingly as per merit. If any EWS seat(s) remain vacant for want of any EWS candidate, the same shall be allotted to an open (OM) candidate based on merit cum-preferences during this mop-up round of counselling.
The category candidates who may not get a seat in their category shall be eligible to participate in the counselling as an OM candidate as their merit, subject to the condition that they fall within the cut-off score of OM. The candidates who have already resigned against the seats allotted during the first and second rounds or even before the mop-up round of counselling shall not be eligible to participate in the mop-up round of counselling.
The eligible candidates who have not been upgraded but have joined ASCOMS under OM Quota / Management Quota and are desirous of participating in the mop-up round against Hindu Minority / NRI Quota seats available in ASCOMS can do so subject to the condition that they are eligible for HM / NRI Quota.
