40-Year-Old Woman Alleges Sexual Assault At Delhi Govt Hospital, Accused Arrested

New Delhi: The police have arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a 40-year-old female staff of a Delhi Government hospital. A case under sections of rape and causing hurt of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered.
A 40-year-old employee of a Delhi government hospital was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man here, police said on Thursday.
The incident happened at the GB Pant Hospital on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, they said.

The accused person has been arrested, a senior police officer said.
On reports that the woman was brutalised, the officer said nothing like this has been found in the medical examination of the victim or the investigation so far and the woman has also not alleged any such act in her statement.
A case under sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the IPC was registered at IP Estate police station, the officer said.
The victim is still admitted to a hospital, police said.

A sexual harassment complaint was filed against a Grade 1 attendant at the post-operative ICU at the medical college by a 32-year-old woman. She alleged that the man harassed her after she was shifted from the operation theatre to the post-operative ICU following thyroid surgery. She had informed the hospital authorities with the help of an ICU nurse and had submitted a complaint
