Salem:Tamil Nadu Health and Family Welfare MinisterMa Subramanianannounced on Wednesday that 25 newgovernment hospitalswill be established across the state, with an investment of Rs 1,019 crore. The proposed hospitals are planned in locations including Tiruttani, Tambaram, Palani, Tirupattur, Kangeyam, Jayankondam, Thirukovilur, and Paramakudi. The minister emphasized that the government is not only constructing modern hospital buildings but also taking steps to appoint additional doctors to ensure better healthcare delivery. Earlier, according to news reports, the minister conducted a surprise visit to Edappadi Government Hospital in Salem district. During the inspection, he examined the operating theatre, blood purification unit, medical warehouse, kitchen, pharmacy, and other hospital facilities.
