Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabushan Harichandan this week called upon medical students to promote a healthy society with selfless service to the poor.
He was addressing the academic year launch of MBBS students as chief guest at the new building of the Sri Balaji medical college hospital and research institute jointly promoted by the Kanchi Kamakoti Trust, Sairam trust and Vijnan Bharati Charitable trust of Odisha near Renigunta airport here.

Nearly 150 medical students began their first-year course of the 2022-23 academic year and the institution has plans to set up a 350-bed hospital with 62 ICU beds and 32 emergency beds, five world-class operation theatres, and 24x7 trauma Centre with a central lab.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy chief minister K Narayana Swami said the YSRCP government had successfully implemented its poll promise of Nava Ratnas for the upliftment of the poor and betterment of farmers.

With this, the HC bench comprising of Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice C.V.Bhaskar Reddy restored the previous ratio of having more elected members and less nominated members and directed the State for completing the fresh election process of the council within a period of three months.
