Ambikapur: In a tragic incident, a 38-year old female doctor posted at a health centre in Bariyo village in Balrampur district has allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of a room in her house.
The doctor, identified as Dr Singh was found dead on August 9 in the morning at her residence in Naman Kala locality. The deceased stayed at her parent's place with her five-year-old son.
As per media reports, On August 8 (Saturday), they went off to sleep after dinner. However, the next morning the doctor's son found her hanging from the ceiling of a room in her house. Thereafter, he called his grandmother who was asleep in a different room.
The medical practitioner was rushed to Ambikapur Medical College hospital, however, she was declared dead on arrival.

A case was registered with the Gandhinagar police station. As per the police officials, the reason for the alleged suicide is still unknown as no suicide note was found from the spot.
"No suicide note has been found from the spot. She was posted at a health center in Bariyo village in neighboring Balrampur district. She married an Uttar Pradesh-based engineer in 2013. He works in Delhi and has been informed of the incident," the official told PTI.

A few days ago, the team had reported about another doctor of the Solapur government Civil Hospital who had allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his room. In this case, too, the reason for his alleged suicide was unclear, he was reported to have committed suicide due to work stress.
