Telangana-Based NRI Physician Gets Appointed As Member Of Arizona Medical Board

Hyderabad: It is definitely a proud moment for the medical fraternity of Telangana, as Senior Dr. Shiva Kumar Y Gosi belonging to Kodangal, Vikarabad district of Telangana has been appointed as a member of the Arizona Medical Board by the Governor of Arizona, USA.
Dr. Gosi had earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Degree from Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad back in 2007. After the completion of his graduation, he had gone to the United States of America (USA) to study for his post-graduation. He had pursued Masters in Public Health and MD from East Tennessee State University in the United States of America (USA). Following that, he had been working as a licensed physician or Hospitalist since 2013.

Currently, Dr. Gosi is the Chair of the Department of Medicine at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona, United States.

As per the latest media report by Telangana Today, Douglas A Ducey, the Governor of Arizona, had mentioned in the appointment letter of Dr. Gosi, "On behalf of The State of Arizona, thank you for agreeing to be appointed to the Arizona Medical Board. One of the satisfactions of holding the office is the opportunity to recognize outstanding citizens by naming them to positions of leadership within our state government".

Dr. Gosi, naturally elated at the news, while commenting on the matter had said, "It's an honor to be appointed to the board being an Indian NRI doctor," adds the daily.
