Sanitary Worker Arrested For Making Obsence Video Of Doctor At Mumbai Hospital

Mumbai: The Kandivali Police have recently arrested a sanitary worker at a Government Hospital for allegedly making an obscene video of a female doctor while she was taking a bath in the restroom of the hospital.
The 30-year-old doctor alleged in her complaint that she found him filming her through the bathroom window. When she got frightened, she screamed after which the hospital staff nabbed the accused.
The incident took place when she was taking a bath in the washroom on the third floor of the girls’ hostel in the hospital on Tuesday morning. The accused allegedly climbed onto the window and filmed her secretly. When she got suspicious, she turned around and saw the accused allegedly filming her. Feeling frightened, she screamed and her colleagues and hospital staff rushed to her aid. The accused who tried to flee from the scene was caught red-handed with a mobile phone.

According to the police, the accused had been allegedly stalking the doctor for a long time. After he was caught, the hospital staff checked his phone and found a four-minute video of the doctor bathing.
Following this, the doctor's colleagues and hospital staff immediately informed the police and a complaint was filed by the doctor against the accused. Later, a case was registered and the accused was arrested.
Speaking to Mid-day, Senior police inspector Dyaneshwar Ganore said, “Based on the victim's information, we have registered a case under Section 77 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertains to capturing images of a woman engaging in a private act in circumstances where she would have a reasonable expectation of privacy."
An investigation is underway and the accused is currently in police custody.
