Indore: A few days after the uproar over the spooky Halloween party that was allegedly organised at the 150-year-old King Edward Medical College building, the police officials have sought information on the matter from the MGM medical colleges authorities.
Speaking to PTI, an official informed that the police have sought information from the administration of the Government Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in connection with an unauthorised Halloween party in the nearly 150-year-old building on the campus.
In a complaint at Sanyogitaganj police station, two associations of teachers and alumni of the medical college alleged that a local outfit, Jain Social Group, organised a Halloween party on October 13 in the King Edward Medical School building, which dates back to 1878, the official said.
The complainants demanded a first information report against the organisers, alleging that lewd pictures were painted and objectionable slogans were written on the walls of the historic building for the party.

“We have sent a letter to the college administration seeking details of the organisers of the Halloween party held at the King Edward Medical School building,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Hansraj Singh told reporters.
Police have also sought to know about the security arrangements at the historic building.
Further steps would be taken once the medical college administration responds, and statements of the complainants would be recorded, the DCP said.
The medical college’s dean, Dr Sanjay Dixit, claimed he had not permitted the “Jain Social Group” to have the Halloween party in the historic building.

had earlier reported that a video had gone viral on social media wherein the doctors and medical teachers at the Government Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College sprinkled Gangajal on the premises of the 150-year-old King Edward Medical School building after a spooky Halloween party was allegedly held on its campus.
The building was defaced for a Halloween party; ghostly messages-- “You made a mistake” and “RIP,” written on the wall as part of the Halloween decorations, left many feeling uneasy at the campus. Pictures of the building, shared on social media, showed it painted to look haunted. Speaking to PTI earlier, eyewitnesses said the walls of the building were marked with "O Stree, Kal Aana" (lines inspired by a horror comedy movie) and several scary sentences written in English. Obscene pictures and objectionable lines have also been engraved, they said.
Office-bearers of the Medical Teachers' Association (MTA) and other doctors sprinkled Gangajal in the King Edward Medical School building, constructed in 1878 during the British Raj.
Amid uproar, the college management claimed it didn't grant permission to hold the "Halloween" event in the historical building. The MTA president demanded that the medical college management lodge an FIR against those responsible for defacing the historical building in the name of a 'Halloween party'.
