Pharmacy Student from Bihar Goes Missing in Lucknow's Banthra, Search Underway

Lucknow: A cloud of mystery surrounds the Banthra area after a 20-year-old pharmacy student from Bihar suddenly went missing, triggering panic among his family and institute. The incident was reported on 17 September, when the student, identified as Suryakant, failed to return to his accommodation, forcing the institute to alert police and his family. According to police, Suryakant hailed from Gokul Chak Milk village in Nalanda district, Bihar, and was pursuing pharmacy studies at a private institute in Junabganj, Banthra. He had been staying alone in a rented room near the Ramada Hotel in the locality. The case was brought to light after Dr Jeeshan Hussain, associated with the institute, lodged a missing complaint at Banthra police station and immediately informed the student’s family about his disappearance. Following the report, the student’s relatives rushed to Lucknow and, along with local police teams, launched a search operation in and around the Banthra area. Despite continuous efforts, no clue has been found so far about Suryakant’s whereabouts. According toLiveHindustanreport, the incident has caused deep concern among classmates, teachers, and locals, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward. The police have assured that every possible lead is being examined to trace the missing student.
