Chandigarh: Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) has shared the link to download the admit card for the screening test for internship dietetics to be held on 28th May 2022 and the master of public health course for July 2022.
As per PGIMER, the department of Dietetics undertakes training of dietetics interns because the department is expertise in food services management and therapeutic nutrition. The department provides internship training to students of Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics and M.Sc. Food and nutrition come from universities all across India.
They are selected based on the screening tests. The duration of the internship varies from 6 weeks to 3 months. Admission is done based on merit. The interns are given exposure –
1. To the functioning of the department
2. Ward rounds
3. Diet counseling to patients in the diet clinic
4. Presenting seminars and case presentations besides exposure to maintaining diet records in the kitchen

In the year 1977 department of community medicine was established in the institute. The primary purpose was to evolve a feasible pattern of healthcare delivery for the people.The Master of Public Health (MPH) course was started in 2007.
The Community Medicine and School of Public Health department is located in RN Dogra Block, PGIMER, Chandigarh. The department is involved in the following activities –

The candidate must possess MBBS/BDS/B.V. Sc/BE/MA/MSc degree to apply for a master of public health course. The admission is entrance-based, followed by a counselling round.
