NMC cuts 50 MBBS seats in latest seat matrix 2025 update, total now 1,28,875

New Delhi:The National Medical Commission (NMC) has further updated the MBBS seat matrix for the academic year 2025-26, reflecting a decrease of 50 MBBS seats from its previously released list. The newly updated seat matrix has been released on the official website of NMC. According to the updated seat matrix, the total number ofMBBSseats across 819 medical colleges in India has now 1,28,875 MBBS seats, marking an increase of 11,350 seats compared to the 1,17,750 seats in 2024–25.
