New 100-bed ESIC Hospital approved for Derabassi

Mohali:The 100-bed Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital has been approved for Derabassi, marking a significant step forward in improving healthcare infrastructure in the region. According to Randhawa, the hospital will be constructed by the Centre, while the Punjab government has allocated four acres of land for the project. Speaking toTOI, he added that the facility will not only benefit the residents of Derabassi, but also thousands of industrial workers and nearby villagers who currently travel long distances for treatment. The proposed ESIC hospital is expected to provide maternal and child healthcare, emergency services, diagnostic facilities, and specialist OPDs, ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for the local population.
