NEET-UG Counselling 2024 Update
New Delhi—Recently, the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) Round 3 Counselling 2024 ended. With this, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is going to start the stray vacancy round of UG Counseling 2024 today, 22 October 2024.
In this regard, MCC has released a notice requesting all the state counselling authorities to share the data of joined candidates of all rounds held so far on the intramcc portal provided by MCC latest upto 05:00 P.M of 25 October 2024 so that candidates holding a seat in state colleges are weeded out before seat processing of Stray Vacancy Round of All India UG counselling being conducted by MCC.

Similarly, MCC has also released the List of joined candidates of Round 1, Round-2 and Round 3 of UG Counselling 2024 conducted by MCC for weeding out by state counselling authorities. The candidates joined through All India counselling should be weeded out by state counselling authorities before the stray vacancy round of state UG counselling.
"As per directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Contempt Petition© No. 289 of 2022 in W.P No. 223 of 2022 Shubhankar Patnaik Vs. K. Ramesh Reddy & Ors. the filtering out of joined candidates through state counselling is mandatory before stray vacancy round of UG counselling. In view of above, it is informed that the Round-3 of UG Counselling 2024 got over on 19.10.2024 and today i.e 22.10.2024, Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling 2024 is going to start. Hence, all state counselling authorities are requested to share the data of joined candidates of all rounds held so far on intramcc portal provided by MCC latest upto 05:00 P.M of 25.10.2024 so that candidates holding a seat in state colleges are weeded out before seat processing of Stray Vacancy Round of All India UG counselling being conducted by MCC," the notice stated.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an organisation under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) affiliated to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and responsible for allotting seats for undergraduate, postgraduate and super-speciality medical and dental courses in government-run/aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university colleges.
