NEET PG 2021 Lowered Percentile: MCC Postpones Mop-Up Round, Asks Eligible Candidates To Register

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed that the candidates who have become eligible after the reduction of cutoff percentile of NEET PG counselling 2021 can now register with the MCC for admissions and the mop up round has also been postponed with the effect.
It is for the information to candidates that vide a Letter of NMC, the NEET PG qualifying percentile has been reduced by 15 percentile across all categories i.e the qualifying percentile for General category has been reduced to 35th percentile, for General PwD to 30th percentile and for Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) will be reduced to 25th percentile, the MCC said.
As per the NBE notice, the cut-off for the General category has been revised to 35th percentile with 247 as the revised cut-off score. For SC/ST/OBC category students the revised cut-off has been fixed at 25th percentile and revised cut-off score at 210. Finally for the UR-PWD category students, the revised percentile is 30th percentile and revised cut-off score is 229.

With this effect, the mop-up round has been deferred. "It is also informed that the Mop Up Round of PG Counselling 2021 was postponed in order to facilitate freshly eligible candidates who became eligible after lowering of percentile to do Fresh Registration and exercise Choice Filling," the MCC notification stating further adding that the candidates who have become eligible after lowering of percentile will be able to register from Monday i.e 14.03.2022.
