NEET 2022: NTA Expected To Release Date Sheet Soon

New Delhi: Even though the counselling process for admission to undergraduate medical courses is yet to commence, it is being speculated that the National Testing Agency (NTA) might release the date of registration for the NEET 2022 soon.
If the trends of the last few years are taken into account, then the NTA might release the schedule for NEET 2022 in December 2021 or latest by the first week of January 2022, reports Indian Express.
As per Section 14 of The National Medical Commission Act, 2019, the Undergraduate National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) has to be conducted as a common and uniform test mandatory for getting admitted to undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions, including those governed under any other law in force.
NEET UG 2021 had been conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Although normally, NEET-UG is held on the first Sunday of May considering the pandemic situation, the exam was postponed to September in the last two years.

As per the latest media report by the Indian Express, the date of NEET UG 2022 depends on the ongoing COVID situation in 2022. If the pandemic remains under control, then students can expect to write their exam in the first week of May. In that case, the application process for the exam may start in January/February 2022.
The daily adds that the date sheet including all the important dates of the centralized medical entrance exam would be updated soon on the official website of NTA at neet.nta.nic.in.
In 2021, the NEET UG question paper consisted of 180 Multiple Choice Questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). It was the first time that NTA introduced internal choice in the question pattern and divided each subject into two different sections.
The revised Test pattern of NEET (UG)-2021 is comprised of two Sections. Each subject consisted of two sections. Section A consisted of 35 Questions and Section B had15 questions, out of these 15 Questions, candidates had to choose to attempt any 10 Questions.
Clarifying the reason for introducing internal choice in the question paper, NTA in the Information Bulletin had stated, "Furthermore, to rationalize the decision of reduction in the syllabus by various School Education Boards, the NTA has taken the decision to provide choice in Section "B" for each of the 4 (four) subjects."
