Maharashtra- In a recent fraud case of promise of MBBS seat, a businessman named Pawansingh Rajput from Maharashtra was duped of ₹51 lakhs by three interstate on the pretext of getting an MBBS seat in a private medical college for his son
The fraudsters have been identified as one Anil Thakur, MGK Raj Girish and Jitendra Patel
According to TOI media news report, Anil Thakur convinced the victim by making a fake promise of securing a medical seat for his son for admission in a medical college through a minister's quota.

In the meantime, Thakur also introduced the other two accused MGK Raj Girish and Jitendra Patel to the victim. Thakur introduced them to Pawansingh Rajput by posing them as a close associate of a top Gujarat politician. With this, they duped the businessman of Rs 51 lakh which was given in several instalments for about a year.
Despite promises, the accused did nothing to secure a medical seat for the victim's son. Meanwhile, when Pawansingh asked the tree accused for his money back, they flatly refused to return it. Disgruntled, the victim lodged a complaint at the Nandanvan police station and the case investigation is currently underway.
No arrests have been made in this regard as of yet.
This is not the first time a medical admission fraud has occurred in Maharashtra. had earlier reported a similar case from Pune where a 60-year-old retired private company employee was duped of Rs 70 lakh by a 32-year-old man on the pretext of getting his son medical admission into a private medical college.
