Assam Medical Education Counseling Notice

The Director of Medical Education (DME) has released details related to offline counseling for the stray vacancy for selection and provisional spot admission of the candidates into the 1st year MBBS course in the government medical colleges.

On 28th April 2022, under the un-reserved category, the counselling will be held at the office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam, Sixmile, Khanapara Guwahati-22, at 11.00 am. The candidates who secured the Assam State Rank up to 517 of NEET-UG-2021 can appear for this counselling.

Candidates selected through 1, 2, and Mop-Up rounds and admitted after that are eligible to attend the stray vacancy round of counseling. Those who are selected through 1, 2, and Mop-Up rounds but want to change their institution as per available vacancy in order of merit can also participate. However, the candidates who are satisfied with the seat allotted in 1, 2, and Mop-Up rounds need not participate, and the seat already allotted to them will remain the same.

Documents to be Brought by New Candidates

  • Application Form (Schedule-I) in original, duly, and properly filled in.
  • Marks sheets of 10+2 (Sc.) examination.
  • Admit Card of HSLC examination.
  • Pass Certificates of HSLC & 10+2 (Sc) exams.
  • PRC.
  • Caste certificates.
  • Admit card & Scorecard of NEET (UG) 2021.
  • Other relevant documents in original.

A set of photocopies of all the said documents signed by the candidates are to be submitted along with the application form at the time of counseling. The candidates who had already submitted the complete application form during admission during 1, 2, and Mop-Up rounds of counseling need not submit the same. However, they shall have to produce the admission acknowledgment receipt at the time of the counselling.

BDS candidates make a note that the counselling schedule will be published later.
