Maha CET Cell Releases Schedule For Round 2 Mop Up Counselling For MBBS, BDS Admissions

Mumbai: Through a recent notice, the Maha CET Cell has released the Schedule for MoP UP-II Round for MBBS/BDS Courses at Government/ Corporation/ Govt. Aided/ Private Unaided/ Minority colleges
The National Medical Commission declared cut-off date of MBBS course for Academic Year 2020-21 as 15th January, 2021. Similarly, The Dental Council of India, New Delhi declared cut-off date for BDS course for Academic Year 2020-21 as 15th January, 2021.
In view of the extended cut-off date for admissions and the vacancies of MBBS/BDS course at Government/ Corporation/ Govt. Aided/ Private Unaided/ Minority Medical and Dental colleges after last date of joining for MoP UP-I round i.e. 25/12/2020, The Commissioner and Competent Authority, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State has decided to conduct MoP UP - II Round for Government/ Corporation/ Govt. Aided/ Private Unaided/ Minority Medical and Dental colleges. The schedule for MoP UP-II Round is as below.

As per rule no.12 in Information Brochure of NEET-UG-2020 the Revised prescribed last date to cancel the admission of Medical/Dental Courses is 07/01/2021.
For MBBS/BDS Course:
All the candidates who have joined to MBBS/BDS course, admitted by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State, Mumbai and persuing the course should note that if he/she wishes to resign the course/cancel the admission, can resign/cancel on or before 07/01/2021.
NOTE: -
If a candidate cancels his / her admission after this date, he/she has to pay penalty as per rule 14.3
Penlty for lapse of seat (MBBS/BDS course): Any candidate responsible for lapse of MBBS/BDS seat will have to pay Non Refundable a penalty of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupee Ten Lacs Only). This penalty is applicable to all those candidates who do not join during last round or cancel a seat after last round of admission. This penalty is also applicable to any candidate resigning a seat after cut-off date for MBBS/BDS course or also fails to complete the course, irrespective of admission quota of the candidate.
If a candidate is upgraded during any Mop UP Round from Private to Government college (For MBBS/BDS) then there will be no penalty clause applicable to him/her for resignation/cancellation of seat. The joining at allotted college is compulsory. The Vacancy created due to this resignation/ cancellation at private Medical/Dental colleges can be filled from list of eligible candidate's during Institutional Level Round after taking permission of State CET Cell.
The cut-off date for MBBS/BDS is 15/01/2021. Hence Separate Notice for Institutional Level Round will be published in due course, the notice read.
