Bhopal: In a fresh development, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has announced that more seats in the PG examinations will be reserved for doctors who are working in the government hospitals in the state.
As noted by TOI, now 50% of PG seats will be reserved for doctors working in State run hospitals and health centres, as opposed to 12.5% reservation earlier. This has been confirmed by the State health minister, Narottam Mishra, who has also confirmed that 50% of government quota seats in private medical colleges will also be retained for doctors serving in state hospitals.
Further, the government has clarified that admission on reserved seats in post-graduate courses will be given through counselling to government serving candidates who are selected in the All-India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination
