JJ Hospital Dean Dr Pallavi Saple Appointed As New Administrator Of Maharashtra Medical Council

Mumbai: J J Hospital's Dean, Dr Pallavi has been appointed as the administrator of the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC). The Medical Education Department has appointed Dr Saple for a period of one year or till the elections are held. The appointment came after the previous body was dissolved as its term was over.
Dr Saple was a former student of JJ Hospitals itself. She also served as the professor and the head of the paediatric department in the institute. Dr Pallavi Saple became one of the youngest deans to take charge of the institute. Speaking to The Indian Express, Dr Saple said, "I have just received the government order. I will take charge soon.''

According to the notification, the MMC members' terms were up on August 7, 2022, elections were scheduled, and the government decided to dissolve the council after its five-year term had ended. Dr. Pallavi P Saple (J J Hospital) in J J Marg, Mumbai is one of the most renowned Paediatricians in the area. The practitioner holds qualifications in the capacity of MD, DCH, and DNB - (Pediatrics). She is a specialist and she has in-depth knowledge of related areas of specialization like Paediatricians etc.
Dr Saple also served as the head of the Government Medical College in Miraj for three years. She graduated from the Grant Medical College attached to J J Hospital in 1995. She pursued her post-graduation before joining as a faculty in 1999. She got promoted to associate professor before finally becoming the Dean of the institute.
Maharashtra Medical Council is the oldest body and successor body of the old Bombay Medical Council, which was established in September 1912 and was in existence till the bifurcation of the old Bombay State.
