FMGE December 2020: NBE Declares Results Of Another 1015 Candidates

                                    New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations, the exam conducting body for Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) has declared the results of 1015 candidates who had appeared in the examination on a provisional basis and failed to submit the prescribed documents. This came after the NBE gave them one time relief in this regard i
Result of Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) held on 4th December 2020 was declared by NBE on 18th December 2020.
Candidature of 1015 candidates who had appeared in the aforesaid examination on provisional basis and failed to submit the prescribed documents by 10th December 2020 was declared as "CANCELLED". Thereafter NBE received representations from a number of such candidates citing difficulties in procuring the prescribed documents due to COVID-19 pandemic related reasons.
he Governing Body of NBE in its meeting held on 24.12.2020 as a ONE-TIME measure has decided to consider the candidature of all such candidates who have failed to submit the required documents by 10th December 2020 and to declare their result for FMGE December 2020 session.

The FMGE PASS certificates, however, shall be issued to such qualified candidates only after physical verification by NBE office of all prescribed documents.
"In terms of the clause 4.4 of the Information Bulletin, it is mandatory to submit proof /documentary evidence that clearly establishes that the result of the final examination for such a primary medical qualification was declared on or before the cut-off date i.e. 30th November 2020. FMGE Pass certificates shall not be issued to those candidates who on physical verification of documents are found to have their Primary Medical Qualification Certificates issued from respective universities after 30th November 2020," the notice corresponding to the results stated

New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the results of the FMGE December 2020 Session. The screening test, Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) was held on 4th December 2020.
NBE officials informed that this time's pass percentage of FMGE results is about 21.3 percent.

Candidates will be able to download their individual score cards from the website https://nbe.edu.in/ from 24.12.2020 onwards. Copy of the scorecard will not be sent to individual candidates.
In terms of clause 2.8 of the Information Bulletin for FMGE December 2020 session and the NBE notice dated 01.12.2020, candidates who have failed to submit the prescribed documents by 10th December 2020 have been declared "INELIGIBLE" and their candidature for FMGE December 2020 session has been "CANCELLED".
Results of candidates whose Face ID is under verification has been "WITHHELD".

The FMGE-Screening Test has been introduced through Screening Test Regulations 2002.
As per the regulations, "An Indian citizen/Overseas citizen of India possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after 15.03.2002 shall have to qualify a screening test conducted by the prescribed authority for that purpose as per the provisions of section 13 of the Act.
National Board of Examinations (NBE) has been entrusted with the responsibility to conduct the Screening Test as per Screening Test Regulations 2002. Role of NBE is limited to conduct of the test, publishing the result and handing over the result to the Medical Council of India & all State Medical Councils.
