DME Chhattisgrah Announces Schedule For Choice Filling For Mop - Up Round For MBBS, BDS Admission

Chhattisgarh: The Director of Medical Education (DME Chhattisgarh) announced the schedule for choice filling for a mop–the up round for MBBS and BDS admission. The seat matrix for the same has also been released.
As per the notice, the candidates can fill in the choices till 12th December 2022, 5:00 pm. The choices filled in earlier will not be valid for this round. The candidates will have to make fresh choice filling for this round.
The editing fee will be available, but only the choices filled in can be edited, not any other details. All the admission for government and private colleges will be done through DME, so the candidates should not fall prey to any individual or organization claiming admission.
Seat Matrix –
A total of 493 seats are allotted for the mop-up round. Most of the seats in Dental are left vacant as compared to Medical.

Recently the admission process for round 2 got over. The last date for admission was 4th December 2022. The admission process for MBBS was carried out at Shri Balaji Medical College Raipur, Raipur Institute of Medical Science, Raipur, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Smriti Chikitsa Mahavidyalaya Raipur, and Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences Bhilai. All the colleges are requested to send one representative to the place of scrutiny to complete the admission process.
Eligibility criteria –
1. Candidates must be citizens of India.
2. Candidates must not be less than 17 years old on or before 31st December 2022.
3. Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as their core subjects.
4. Candidates must be NEET UG qualified.
The Directorate of Medical Education conducts NEET UG counselling. The admissions are based on NEET UG. The seat allotment is done based on the choices filled by candidates, reservation, state merit rank, NEET UG marks, and other factors.
DME is the administrative body of Chhattisgarh and overlooks Medical Education in the State through Medical and Dental Colleges. It plays a pivotal role in developing medical and para-medical personnel to cater to the health needs of the State. Research is another area of activity for the Medical Education Department.
