DME Chhattisgarh Releases Schedule For 2nd Stray Vacancy Round For NEET MDS Courses, Check Details

Chhattisgarh: The Director of Medical Education (DME Chhattisgarh) has released the schedule for the 2nd stray vacancy round for NEET MDS courses.
Per the notice, the process of scrutiny and admission will be carried out until 14th January 2023, 5:00 pm. The allotment process got over on 13th January 2023, 2:00 pm. The candidates note that if they reach late for the scrutiny and allotment process, the admission will be carried out based on the previous merit list and seat allotted.
All the colleges will have to finish the admission process till 5:00 pm on 14th January 2023, and the details related to the admitted candidates must be mailed to cgdme.student@gmail.com till 11:59 pm on 14th January 2023.
DME has informed that after the mop-up round admission process on 30th November 2023, a petition was filed in the Honorable High Court for 27 vacant seats. The candidate lists have been issued to the colleges for the allotment process. The merit list consists of 104 candidates. The list was mailed to all the colleges on 2nd December 2022.

After the 1st state allotment, 4 seats of private colleges are left vacant. For these seats, the previously released merit list, which consists of 104 candidates, will be valid. The candidates allotted seats in the 1st and 2nd state round will not be eligible.
The 2nd stray vacancy round is being conducted per the directions received from the Medical Counselling Committee for the vacant PG (MD/ MS/ Diploma/PG DNB/ MDS) Seats of All India Quota/ Central University/ Central Institute/ Deemed University/ PG DNB.
NEET-MDS is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MDS Courses under the Dentists Act 1948 (amended from time to time). No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, is valid for entry to MDS courses. Qualifying for NEET-MDS is mandatory for entry to MDS courses under various Universities/ Institutions in the country.
DME is the administrative body of Chhattisgarh and overlooks Medical Education in the State through Medical and Dental Colleges. It plays a pivotal role in developing medical and para-medical personnel to cater to the state's health needs. Research is another area of activity for the Medical Education Department.
