Puducherry: PG Medical and Dental Seat Matrix 2022-23

The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) announced the seat matrix for PG Medical and PG Dental for the academic year 2022-23. The seat matrix is for both government and private medical colleges.

A total of 200 seats have been allocated. PG Medical has 161 seats, and PG Dental has 39 seats allotted.

Detailed Seat Matrix

Medical

• Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences: 61 seats
• Sri Venkateswaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Centre: 79 seats
• Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute: 21 seats

Dental

• Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences: 17 seats
• Mahe Institute of Dental Sciences: 14 seats
• Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College, Puducherry: 8 seats

As per the notice, a new course MD Forensic Medicine, has been added to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute (IGMC&RI). By using their login dashboard credentials, candidates can update and save their course preferences according to the seat matrix released.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Post Graduate Degree MD / MS / MDS Courses

1. The candidate must have passed the final MBBS Examination (for MD/MS) and BDS examination (for MDS Course) from any recognized Institution / University and must have completed a satisfactorily one-year compulsory rotating internship as of 31st March 2022 (for MDS Course) and 30th June 2022 (for MD/MS Course) and must submit their internship completion certificate at the time of admission.
2. Subject to change as per NEET-PG / NEET-MDS - 2022, Bulletin of Information, NBE.
3. To become eligible for admission, a candidate must obtain a minimum required percentile in NEET-PG/NEET-MDS-2022, as prescribed by regulatory authorities such as the National Board of Examination, National Medical Commission, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, etc., as the case may be.

The candidate will be informed of all the proceedings of CENTAC through SMS / E-mail. The same will be published on the CENTAC website and in the public media through press releases.

NEET-PG counselling is conducted by the Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC). It is a common admission portal for all the colleges of Puducherry and is established by the Government of Puducherry. Under this, the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination and appeared in such a qualifying examination are eligible for admission. There are various courses under its umbrella.
