BOPEE Announces Schedule For Round 2 NEET Admission, 346 Seats Available

Jammu & Kashmir: The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) announced the schedule for the conduction of the second (upgradation/allotment) round of (physical) counselling for admission to NEET UG (MBBS/BDS) courses 2022, including Hindu minority seats in ASCOMS. The seat matrix also has been released.

The candidates participating in the physical round of counselling shall have to report at BOPEE Office, Jammu / Srinagar, from 08:30 am to 10:30 am on their respective day of counselling. The candidates participating for the first time in the counselling shall also have to pay a Counselling Fee of Rs. 1500 through P.O.S. machines available in the BOPEE Office Jammu/ Srinagar on their respective date of counselling.
As per the notice, the candidates belonging to the C.D.P. Category (Children of Defence Personnel) that the seats reserved for the C.D.P. category not dispensed with during the online round of counselling ( barring one reserved as per court directions) shall also be allotted during the second round of Physical Counselling on 25th November 2022.
The candidates belonging to the C.D.P. category who have registered themselves along with genuine category certificates and found their place in P.M.L. shall present themselves before the Board at Jammu/Srinagar on (Friday) 25.11.2022 along with good C.D.P. Category (Priority Certificate) from the competent authority to substantiate their claim as per inter-se-priority.
The following candidates shall be eligible to participate in the second round of physical counselling -
1. Candidates who have joined the course / Institution allotted to them during the first round of counselling.
2. Candidates who participated in the first round of online counselling but did not get a seat owing to Choice Not Available (C.N.A.) / Seat Not Available (S.N.A.) at their turn of online counselling.
3. Candidates who figure in the Provisional Merit List but have not participated in the first round of online counselling.
4. The candidate who has applied under H.M. in ASCOMS in pursuance of Notification No. 085-BOPEE of 2022 dated 17-11-2022.
The following candidates shall not be eligible to participate in the Second round of physical counselling -
1. Candidates who did not join the course / Institution allotted to them during the first round of online counselling.
2. Candidates whose names do not figure in P.M.L. as per Notification No. 074-BOPEE of 2022 dated 04-11-2022.
Candidates participating in the physical round of counselling who did not get a seat or a seat is allotted to them should, in their interest, not leave the counselling section/area of the Board office on their day/date of counselling as there is a possibility that a seat of their choice, which was not earlier available on their turn of counselling may become available during the process.
The candidates can stake a claim on such a seat immediately on the same day/date of counselling once the seat is displayed on the monitors installed inside and outside of the counselling rooms of the Board, consequent upon its vacation by a candidate so that such a candidate is considered for allotment of the seat on merit cum preference basis.
The seats allotted to the candidates earlier shall become vacant and be added to the seat matrix and filled up accordingly per merit/preference. The Board shall not be responsible if a candidate leaves the Board office and fails to stake a claim on a seat as may become available on the same day. They shall not be eligible to stake a claim against the seat, which shall become vacant during the next day of counselling.
Any candidates who miss the counselling on the particular date of their turn shall be allowed to participate on the next day of counselling. Still, they shall get the seat available at that point. They shall not be eligible to stake a claim on the seat; otherwise, they would have been allotted at their turn of counselling, notwithstanding their merit cum preference.
The unfilled seats under Hindu Minority Quota in ASCOMS shall be filled up during physical counselling from amongst the eligible candidates who have submitted valid documents strictly as per their merit-cum-preference. Rule 17 of the reservation rules are not applicable in the 2nd round of counselling.
