BFUHS NEET UG 2022 Mop-up Round Notice

Faridkot: The result of the Mop-up round for admission to MBBS/BDS courses under NEET UG 2022, which was scheduled to be declared on 14.12.2022, is kept on hold till further orders announced Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS).

As per the notice, the decision has been taken keeping in view of the orders of Hon'ble Punjab & Haryana Court in CWP No. 24730 of 2022 and other connected cases.

Eligibility for the Mop-up Round of Counselling

  • The candidates who have resigned/surrendered the allotted seat of 1st online Counseling with free exit up to 15.11.2022 and do not hold any seat of Round I and Round II.
  • The candidates who have not joined the allotted seat (fresh/upgraded) of Round II counselling can apply afresh for the mop-up round.
  • The candidates who are already registered but have not been allotted seats in Rounds I and II need not register again. However, they will have to submit Willingness along with the requisite amount (equivalent to penalty) and will have to submit Choices/preferences of Course/College/Quota as per schedule.

Non-eligibility for Mop-up Round

  • The candidates holding/joined the allotted seats of Round I and Round II.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is being conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD. The Directorate General of Medical Education conducts the counselling process for NEET UG admissions.

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences was established in July 1998 by Punjab Act No. 18. It is named after Baba Farid, a 12th-century Punjabi Sufi headquartered in Faridkot. The mission of the University is to create an intellectual, academic, and physical environment conducive to the free flow of ideas and exchange of information between various faculties of the University and between this University and other Universities of Health Sciences in the country and abroad.

Recently, the team reported that BFUHS informed about the vacant seat at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, for the NEET UG mop-up round. NRI Quota seats at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, have already been filled during Round I and II online counselling. Consequently, all candidates have joined their provisionally allotted seats. Therefore, no vacant seat remains under NRI Quota at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana. Now only two seats are vacant at the college for the NEET UG mop-up round. Open quota AIQ has 1 seat, and Minority Quota_2A to 2G has 1 seat left vacant.
