Another Quack busted in Gujarat, medicines seized

Vadodara:The Borsad rural police arrested a fake doctor on Sunday for allegedly operating aclinicand treating patients without a valid medical degree in Gujarat's Anand district. This comes just two days after a similar arrest in Napad Talpad village. According to the news reports, the accused was running a makeshift clinic near a madrasa in Borsad taluka, where he was allegedly treating numerous patients using both ayurvedic and allopathic medicines—despite lacking formal medical qualifications. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid in coordination with Dr. Rohankumar Suthar and his team from the Borsad Community Health Centre. During the inspection, a wide range of medicines and treatment materials were found on the premises. Authorities seized medicines valued at Rs 11,927. A case has been registered under the Gujarat Medical Practices Act, and an investigation is currently underway. Also Read:8th class pass Quack arrested for running illegal clinic had previously reported that in a recent crackdown against illegal medical practices, the LSOJI police have arrested an 8th-grade pass bogus doctor operating an illegal clinic from a residential building in Dhalwana village, located in Limbdi taluka of Surendranagar district. The police seized medical items and allopathic medicines worth Rs 14,700 from the premises and initiated legal action against the accused. The arrest came after multiple complaints surfaced regarding a rise in fake doctors operating in rural areas of Surendranagar district. In response, the SOG team conducted a special patrol in Limbdi taluka.
