Minister for Social Welfare Pinipe Viswaroop has said the Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy had sanctioned the establishment of a government medical college at a cost of Rs. 500 Crores for the Amalapuram constituency.
He told media persons at Amalapuram recently that the relevant orders were also issued and the 50 acres site required for the medical college would be acquired shortly.

He said the medical college proves to be a boon to the people of the entire Konaseema area, especially for the weaker sections, as the people would get better medical facilities.
MP Anuradha, MLAs Kondeti Chittibabu, and Mudunuri Prasadaraju were among those who attended.
