New Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced that the date of departmental assessment of the fellowship program entrance examination for the July 2022 session in the department of Gastroenterology has been revised.

The date has been extended to 13th May 2022. Previously it was 12th May 2022. The fellowship includes:

  • Gastroenterology-Hepatology
  • Gastroenterology-Advanced Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
  • Gastroenterology-Inflammatory Bowel Disease

The candidates who have appeared in the entrance exam held on 2nd May 2022 for the fellowship program and have qualified for stage 2 can appear for departmental clinical/practical/lab based assessment. This will be through video conferencing.

The results were published on 5th May 2022. They are declared based on the latest seat position, as mentioned in the prospectus uploaded on the AIIMS website. Three times the number of candidates out of the qualified candidates in the Stage–I Examination has been called for Departmental Assessment for each available seat. The total number called may vary depending upon the number of qualified candidates and tie cases.

The details of the video conferencing platform and timing of the assessments will be communicated to the candidates on their registered mail id by the respective department.

All original certificates/documents will be verified at the time of joining. Candidates note that selection/outcome of the examination is subject to fulfillment of eligibility, production of all original certificates/documents, and other requirements as mentioned in the prospectus.

The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, is a group of autonomous government public medical universities of higher education. An Act of Parliament has declared these institutes as Institutes of National Importance. The 1st AIIMS was established in Delhi in the year 1956.
