AIIMS Raipur: MBBS Medicos Begin New Year With Hippocratic Oath

Raipur: Medical Students of the 2018 batch at All India Institute of Medical Sciences have celebrated their new year with Hippocratic Oath. They swear to learn lifelong and devote their life to improving human health and society's welfare. Their oath ceremony was witnessed by a large gathering of doctors and other medical students.
In the early hours, medical students of the 2018 batch gathered at the AIIMS campus. Under the supervision and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) The oath ceremony was held by Nitin M. Nagarkar, Director, AIIMS, and Prof. Alok C. Agrawal, Dean (Academics).

Buddy medicos took the oath to respect scientific gains made by senior doctors, take their help in critical cases without hesitation, respect patients' privacy and try to prevent disease whenever needed.
Prof. Nagarkar said that the Oath Ceremony has some privileges as it defines the role and responsibilities of doctors serving society. It ensures respectful life and affection given by the community in return for medical care. Prof. Sarita Agrawal, Prof. Nitin R. Gaikwad, Prof. Anil K. Goel, Dr. Satyaki Ganguly, and Dr. Preetam N. Wasnik also graced the occasion.
