AIIMS Raipur Depts, Facilities Inspected Under Kayakalp Scheme

Raipur: A Peer Inspection Team under Kayakalp Scheme, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) visited All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Chhattisgarh capital
Raipur on Tuesday and inspected different departments and facilities besides witnessing best practices adopted by the institute.

To promote cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control practices in different AIIMS, MoHFW, Government of India introduced Kayakalp Scheme to incentivize and recognize them.
Under the scheme, all newly established AIIMS comes under Category-II and if selected, they will get the first prize of three crores, second prize of one crore, or third prize (3) 50 Lakh each. A peer inspection team from AIIMS, Rishikesh visited AIIMS, Raipur on Tuesday for the first Category-II inspection under the scheme. Prof. (Dr.) Nitin M. Nagarkar, Director, AIIMS, Raipur discussed various initiatives taken by the AIIMS and applauded the vision, wisdom, and experience demonstrated by the AIIMS Fraternity especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The team comprising Dr. Amber Prasad and Dr. Pooja Bhadoria then visited the Medical Superintendent Office, OPD Registration counters, Sample Collection facility, Pediatrics Department, NICU, and General Surgery wards. The team appreciated various initiatives taken by AIIMS to facilitate patients and to provide them state of the art medical facilities at an affordable cost.
