AIIMS PG 2020 Open Round Counselling: 224 Seats Up For Grabs, Final Seat Position, Guidelines Released

                                    New Delhi: There are a total of 224 PG medical seats vacant for AIIMS PG 2020 open round counselling session. The aggregate surfaced from a recent notice uploaded by the institute on its official website regarding the final vacant seat position for open round of counselling [MD/ MS/ MCH(6YEARS)/ DM (6YEARS)/ MDS] January 2020 Session.
According to the seat matrix, the maximum number of PG medical seats is available at AIIMS Delhi 51, followed by AIIMS Patna, 40 seats. Third comes AIIMS Jodhpur with 31 PG seats. AIIMS branches at Rishikesh and Raipur have 23 and 17 seats available respectively.
While AIIMS Bhopal has 26 seats left for the candidates. AIIMS Nagpur and AIIMS Bhubaneswar are reported to have 14 and 22 seats vacant for PG medical candidates.

Important guidelines for the process of online Open Round of Seat Allocation for admission to AIIMS PG courses for July 2020 session
Kindly take note of following regarding online Open Round of Seat Allocation for admission to AIIMS PG courses for July 2020 session.
1. The OPEN ROUND OF SEAT ALLOCATION will be done in ONLINE MODE only in place of physical mode of seat allocation.
2. The OPEN ROUND OF SEAT ALLOCATION is a separate process Independent of all previous rounds of seat allocation (1st,2nd & 3rd Round). Candidates allocated seats in previous rounds should strictly follow the processes and rules of respective round for admission and resignation at respective AIIMS. Candidate participating in open round must follow process and rules of open round. Submission of original document or deposit of Rs.3 Lakh in earlier round (1st, 2nd & 3rd Round) will not considered for online Open Round of Seat Allocation.
3. Registration by the closing date of registration for open round and Submission of Original Document OR payment of Rs 3.00 (Rupees Three lakh) by DD/RTGS/NEFT are mandatory prerequisites to be eligible to participate in the OPEN ROUND OF SEAT ALLOCATION with other eligibility criteria as mentioned in the prospectus for MD/MS/DM(6YEARS)/MCH (6YEARS)/MDS] July 2020 SESSION or any subsequent notices published in this regard. 4. All candidate must see the vacant seat position published from time to time and exercise their choice prudently.
5. Any candidate who have been allocated seat earlier and joined any AIIMS on any allocated seat may participate subject to fulfilment of criteria as mentioned clause 2 & 3 above.
6. Any amount deposited or document submitted will be subject to rules of open round of seat allocation only and is not linked in any manner to the previous allotment
7. Any candidate to whom a seat will be allocated as per choice filled must have to join the course otherwise (i) if has deposited Rs 3.00 Lakh the same will be forfeited or (ii) if the deposited original certificate, the same will returned after the deposit of Rs. 3.00 Lakh and the allocated seat will be vacated after last date of reporting at any/respective AIIMS for the open round. If the candidate joins the allotted seat DD/amount will be refunded in due course of time (if deposited).
8. If the candidate has already joined the course and allocated a new seat during the online open round seat allocation, then the previous allotted seat will be vacated during an online open round of seat allocation and allotted to another candidate in order of merit. All kind of right on the previous allocated seat will be vanished for such participating candidate and must have to join as said above.
9. Candidates who have not been allotted any seat in the open round, then their previous seat (if any) remain allotted and DD/amount deposited for the open round will be refunded or original certificate will be returned in due course of time.
10. Those candidates who have already taken admission in any of eight AIIMS and they have proceeded to exercising of choices for an online open round of seat allocation without depositing the Rs.3 Lakh, they will not eligible for online open round of seat allocation for AIIMS PG July 2020 session. They have to mandatory deposit Rs. 3 Lakh through DD OR NEFT / RTGS on or before 17.05.2020 (5:00 pm)
11. Candidates who have already joined seat in any AIIMS and allotted the same institute & Subject/Speciality in online Open Round of Seat Allocation, then candidate will retain the seat allotted previously irrespective of the category of seat allocated/available.
