ACB Arrests Medical Superintendent Among Two For Demanding Bribe Of Rs 30,000

Kolhapur: A 53-year-old medical superintendent of a rural hospital and his aide have been arrested here on Sunday for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000.
The duo has been identified as Dr Sunil Appasaheb Kurundwade, medical superintendent of Solankur and Ajara rural hospital, and his aide Suhas Krushna Takkekar (29), Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) said.

According to the ACB, the main accused Dr Kurundwade initially demanded Rs 35,000 from six staffers of the hospital in lieu of sending their performance report to the Civil Surgeon.
