Gurugram: A premier hospital in Gurgugram has now fallen under the raidar of the Municipal Corporation Gurgaon (MCG) for alleged violations on the payment of property taxes. The hospital has been also under the scanner of the department of town and country planning (DTCP) for allegedly violating the approved building plan, according to recent media reports.
A recent report in TOI states that an MCG survey revealed that Paras hospital in Sushant Lok 1, Sector 43, may have been paying property taxes for an area much less than what it is supposed to pay for. According to the said report, sources at the MCG stated hospital is currently paying property taxes for 4,140 sq ft, at Rs 15 per sq ft. The hospital is a 250 bedded facility according to its website.
"According to our survey, the hospital is currently paying property taxes for only 10% of its actual area,” an official told TOI. The official added, that they have identified a number of anomalies during survey and have asked the hospital to provide information about space on each floor.
In an earlier report TOI had also stated that the hospital is also under scanner for allegedly violating the approved building plan by turning common areas and parking lots into offices, medical rooms, cafeteria, patients’ lounge, pharmacy and even a toy shop.
