Pune: Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) announced vacant seats for NEET UG admissions.
Per the notice, a total of 21 seats remain vacant. Seats for 14 boys and 7 girls remain vacant.
AFMC has further informed that candidate with NEET UG Roll No 2001470178; BM-23 got admission to the MBBS course 2022 at AFMC, Pune, on 12 Nov 2022. So now, a total of 124 candidates got admitted to the MBBS course. Out of 124 candidates, 101 are boys, and 23 are girls.
The notice stated, "Refer to our notice dt 11 Nov 2022 on UG 2022 admission in AFMC, Pune. It is intimated that candidate with NEET UG Roll No2001470178, BM-23 got admission to the MBBS course 2022 at AFMC, Pune on 12 Nov 2022. Therefore, total no of boys got admission is 101 and girls is 23. The no of seats remaining vacant are as follows: Boys- 14, Girls- 07."
Eligibility criteria for MBBS admission –
1. The candidate should be a citizen of India. Foreign nationals of Indian origin may be admitted into AFMC only after they have acquired Indian Citizenship or in respect of whom the Ministry of Home Affairs issues a certificate of eligibility. This, however, does not apply to the 5 Govt Candidates from Friendly Foreign Countries.
2. Must be unmarried. Marriage during the course is not permitted.
3. Should be medically fit as prescribed by the Govt of India, Ministry of Defence.
4. Age criteria: The candidate should have attained the age of 17 years on 31 Dec 2022 but must not have attained the age of 24 years on that date, i.e., must have been born not earlier than 01 Jan 1999 and not later than 31 Dec 2005.
5. Candidates from the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are also eligible for admission to AFMC Pune.
6. Candidates must have passed one of the qualifying examinations on the first attempt with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these three science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the tenth standard. The detailed list of qualifying exams is enclosed in the notice below.
7. Candidates seeking admission for the MBBS course at AFMC Pune must qualify for the NEET UG 2022 Examination conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
